We combine our love of herbal medicine and acupuncture with knowledge of other natural healing agents and nutrition to maximize the effect for our patients. We specialize in treating internal medicine issues including stress, insomnia, digestive disorders, infertility, chronic illness and more!
Herb & Tao’s creation resulted from the owner’s 20 year journey to reclaim health following emotional and physical trauma. The solution being removing toxicity from the body, supplying much needed nutrients, and regaining energetic balance. Health is not a destination; it is a lifelong journey for us all.
Ja’Nelle Jefferson is a licensed acupuncturist in Illinois and a NCCAOM diplomate. She earned her Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.
She is a natural problem solver questioning why things work or don’t work. Her love of herbal medicine stemmed from spending 6+ years as a nutritional sales consultant where she immersed herself in study of natural supplements and personal care items. She is sought after for advice on natural solutions for the body and home including supplements, essential oils, body care, household products and now acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
Prior to her natural health days, Ja’Nelle received her B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2002 and worked as an office manager and administrative assistant. In her free time, she loves spending time in the sun at the beach, attending various shows, and visiting with her friends and family.
