Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioners are trained as general practitioners, qualified to treat the whole body via its systems, and can treat a number of conditions not limited to ‘acupuncture for pain’ treatments. Practitioners may also specialize their training through continuing education courses. The TCM practitioner/acupuncturist at Herb & Tao specializes in internal health, women’s and children’s health, and in utilizing Chinese herbal formulas to maximize treatment in between acupuncture/specialty services.
Systems commonly treated include digestive, respiratory, nervous system, and organ systems. Conditions treated include (but are not limited to) chronic and acute: anxiety, depression, stress, menstrual irregularity, infertility, perinatal symptoms (during pregnancy & postpartum), allergies, coughs, respiratory disorders, difficulty sleeping, fatigue, digestive issues and more!
